Qlik a Leader In 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Analytics & Business Intelligence Platforms

Gartner announced last week its 2020 Gartner Magic Quadrant Report for Analytics & Business Intelligence Platforms.  Augmented analytics remains a key driver and differentiator for business intelligence and analytics platforms moving forward.  Gartner is also predicting that half of all analytical queries will be generated via search, automation, natural language or voice during the next year.

Increased use of natural language processing and conversation analytics will enable a new swath of users to take advantage of BI and analytics, so much so that Gartner is expecting a 15 percent increase in adoption among enterprise organisations. 

In this Magic Quadrant, Gartner evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of 22 providers that it considers the most significant in the marketplace.  Vendors are plotted on their ability to execute and completeness of vision.

Qlik was named a Leader in the Quadrant for the 10th consecutive year.  Qlik offers strong machine learning and AI-centric capabilities in Qlik Sense, its modern BI product. Qlik had a busy year after acquiring Attunity to enhance data integration capabilities in February. The provider also released a set of multi-cloud augmented BI features and new natural language functionality in October.
