"Inside Info turned an extremely manual, complex & inconsistent process into an easy, automated view of sales & marketing performance end-to-end. Meshing external data, with internal telephony, CRM and data warehouse systems. It took 3 weeks, was great value and can be easily updated."

QlikTech Achieves 50% Revenue Growth to $120 Million Globally, Inside Info Achieves 68% Revenue Growth in Australia

Sydney, February 18, 2009Inside Info, the Australian provider of QlikView, the world’s fastest-growing business intelligence software, today announced annual revenue increases of 68% over 2007 calendar year, and growth of its customer base by 45% to 230 businesses in Australia.

Globally, QlikTech, the maker of QlikView, experienced 50% revenue growth over 2007 to US$120 million, while QlikView customers grew by 45% to 10,585 customers in 92 countries. The number of users of QlikView, also grew by 45%, to approximately 500,000. In contrast to the software industry trend toward downsizing, Inside Info more than doubled staff within the year, while QlikTech added 160 new employees in 2008, a 50% increase over 2007.

During 2009, Inside Info will grow its team to support service delivery, establish a stronger direct sales presence in Victoria, with partner recruitment and OEM’s targeting underserved vertical markets and geographies including Queensland and Western Australia.  The company will continue to focus efforts on gaining traction in the mid and enterprise markets with the release of QlikView 9 midyear.

“The rules of the game have changed; the era of hard-to-use software solutions with long, expensive deployments is coming to an end,” said Stuart Barnard, Managing Director of Inside Info.  “The balance of power has shifted in BI, it’s definitely a buyer’s market and buyers are more harshly scrutinising time to value, expecting weeks rather than months or years.  Our exceptionally strong results in Australia and QlikTech’s overseas is a testament to our unique value proposition of providing simple to use, affordable, interactive analysis of data for the non technical, guiding strategies and operational plans each day.  As a result, we’re well positioned to continue growing in 2009 at the expense of our competitors.”

QlikView’s unique, patented in-memory associative technology has enabled customers to realise market leading results and satisfaction with their QlikView deployments.

Affordable Entry Fuels Mid-Market and Enterprise Growth

An affordable entry point of under $50,000 has enabled Inside Info to dramatically grow the QlikView customer base in both mid-market and enterprise organisations.    Customer wins in 2008 included Amcor, Bianco Construction Supplies, Fujitsu General, St John National Business Centre and Gazal Corporation.   Inside Info gained market share by delivering projects with exceptionally rapid payback – typically measured in four to five weeks.

QlikTech globally added an average of more than 270 new customers every month.  It also significantly grew its sales to larger enterprises, with enterprise customers in 2008 including Volvo, Deutsche Telekom, Novartis, Fujitsu, Campbell Soup, Shell and 3M.

License Revenue Indicates Strength of Business

“Our license revenues remained strong in 2008, accounting for 72% of the total, which is unique in our industry, compared to traditional BI vendors which derive the majority of revenues from services.  Our license growth is fueled by a fast delivery model and a strong referral base of happy customers,” explained Stuart Barnard, Managing Director at Inside Info.

Globally, QlikTech’s total licensing revenues accounted for 63% in 2008.
